RUMOUR: WILL GOOGLE ACQUIRE OPERA?
[Dec 14, 2005] According to Pierre Chappaz (former president of Yahoo! Europe), quoting well-informed sources, Google is to announce the acquisition
of Opera, the Norwegian firm developing one of the best web browsers.
In September, Google and Opera reached an
important deal which allowed browser to remove its Google Ads.
UPDATED: Gary Price offers more stuff about this issue, and Daniel Goldman claims an Opera official denied this rumor today: "Rumors come and go. Google is not buying Opera".
