GOOBUNTU: IS GOOGLE DEVELOPING THEIR OWN VERSION OF UBUNTU?
[Jan 31, 2006] Some days ago, 'Financial Times' published an article on Mark Shuttleworth, the South African entrepreneur who supports the Ubuntu project, the Linux distribution focusing on the user and usability.
That article claimed that Google is developing their own Ubuntu version called 'Goobuntu'.
Journalist Ben King, author of the article, corroborated the veracity of this, but he didn't tell whether Ubuntu project or Google confirmed this point. It's not also mentioned if this Linux distribution will be developed for inside use within Google, or to be installed on a Google PC device.
