CONFIRMED: GOOBUNTU DOES EXIST
[Jan 31, 2006] As reported here some
hours ago, Google is developing their own Linux distribution, based on Ubuntu, and called
internally 'Goobuntu'. Chris DiBona (Open source program manager at Google) confirmed this point on
this thread of Slashdot.
As we mentioned, it wasn't public wether this Operating System would be developed for
inside use within Google, or to be launched. But DiBona claims that, thought it's an
awesome tool, they are not to share with us and it will be used only by the Googlers.
