ISABEL AGUILERA, NAMED CEO OF GOOGLE SPAIN AND PORTUGAL
[Mar 7, 2006] According to this press release, Isabel Aguilera has been named CEO for Google Spain and Portugal.
Aguilar is one of the most successful businesspeople in Spain; she was COO of NH Hotels and Business Unit Director for Dell in Spain, Italy and Portugal. She was born in Seville (Spain), where she studied Architecture. In Madrid she also attended the 'Instituto de Empresa' (IE) and the IESE (University of Navarre) Business Schools.
Aguilera claims that her aim is to build strong relations between the business sector and the Internet communities
in Spain and Portugal. She has also admitted that advertising in search engines offers a great opportunity to advertisers and editors; therefore, she'll try to develop it to its maximum in Spain.
She will manage one of the offices with the highest growth rate in the company. It was opened in the summer of 2003 by Miguel de Reina (current Commercial Director for Google Spain and Google Portugal).
